what is my name???

Jambo all mzungus!! mzungu is the word for a white man in swahili,
and we hear that alot here.. maybe a little to much at times : ) especially from the kids, when they see us they shout mzungu and point the fingers at us and laugh so hard, that the smallest ones shake (it is hilarious), in a way it must be similar to what famous people in Hollywood feel, but we can't really hide the color of our skin with sunglasses or can we?
And the adults practice their english when we walk by: what is my name? what is my name? as we know their names ( I think we have to talk to their english teacher and tell him or her that they should say what is your name ( yeah it is quite funny to take a nice walk around the neighbourhood here).
Me and the hippo have also discovered the magic of african food, we have learned how to make chapati ( chapati is a kind of african version of food pancakes... they are suppose to be food pancakes but add 2 liters oil and we have found out that they do taste very good with sugar and jam...)
We were very lucky to be invited to the home of our anastaetic nurse and his wife taught us how to make these. All the other nice things here: cakes, carbohydrate bombs like ugali, rice and etc. has forced us to start a fitness plan so we run in the mornings 6 km. ( in the mountains we are in 1800 m height) so that is good, the only thing are the kids again (you can imagine how funny we must look to them, not white anymore but red in the face in our running clothes and with our mp3 music haha) and yes the kids and adults don't hestitate to laugh, shout and run after us (sometimes quite funny but often very annoying especially when you are tired)
Otherwise everything is good here at Heri Hospital, we experience amazing things everyday and now we have to convince our german house mate to lend us her laptop so we will be able to put some photos on the blog
